At Learner’s Way Tutoring, we’re more than tutors—we’re Academic Success Coaches who love helping kids reach their goals. Our mission is to give each child personalized, high-quality support so they can be their best, in school and beyond. We know every child learns differently, and that’s why we teach the Learner’s Way!
Our team focuses on helping Kindergarten to 6th graders grow in reading and math because we believe every child should learn in a way that works best for them. We use smart teaching, fun lessons, and teamwork with parents to fill learning gaps and build confidence. Families choose Learner’s Way because they want more than tutoring—they want real growth and lasting change.
But we don’t stop there. We work together with parents by sharing updates, giving helpful tips, and keeping good communication. That way, families feel supported and confident. At Learner’s Way, it’s not just about catching up, it’s about helping every child enjoy learning again and every parent feel hopeful.
Our owner Tonya M. Herring, is a certified educator with 19 years of experience. She holds a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and has taught students from Kindergarten through 6th grade. She has also served as an Instructional Coach and Intervention Specialist, guiding teachers and learners alike.

Reading & Math Tutoring
Our tutoring program helps students grow stronger in reading and math while making learning fun and engaging.
- Reading: We cover everything from phonics to reading comprehension. Lessons are hands-on and creative, helping students enjoy reading and develop a lifelong love of books.
- Math: We focus on building number sense and problem-solving skills. Using real-life examples and interactive activities, we make math meaningful and understandable, so students can feel confident and excited about learning. We teach the “why” not just the “how” in math.
